Hello DCHAS Friends and Colleagues,
I received the following message from a chemistry instructor at Edmonds Community College:

At Edmonds, they are giving us some difficulty with our "Chemistry and Art" class. Apparently, they think there are some safety concerns. This is a long story and is I think driven by a small accident we had last year. Anyway, one idea we had is to ask for an outside expert to evaluate the course for its safety hazards. Do you think there is someone with the ACS we could hire to do that? I=E2=80™m not sure they will even go for it, but I don't want to present the option unless there is actually somebody who could do this.

I wondered if anyone here may have suggestions, or referrals to any option available that may be suitable to address the safety concerns and evaluation of the safety issues within the Chemistry and Art class.

Your replies and consideration are appreciated.

Natalie
