The Hidden Implact: Taking a Life Cycle View
GC&E Registrants Have Access to GC&E Fridays!
Your GC&E Conference registration gives you access to select workshops and GC&E technical sessions presented on the four consecutive Fridays leading up to the Conference. Make sure you register for the Conference in advance to attend these live sessions. As you register, make sure you RSVP for each GC&E Friday event during the registration process. The GC&E Fridays kick off this Friday, May 21 with the workshop below. We'll see you soon!

Effective Science Communication Workshop 

Friday, May 21
11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. EDT (GMT/UTC -4)

This session is a special opportunity for attendees from all walks of the green and sustainable chemistry and engineering fields to develop their communication skills, specifically around communicating their science. The interactive workshop will focus on the importance of speaking for chemistry and will provide best practices and case studies of successful communication interactions. The workshop's presenters will demonstrate the diverse reasons for communicating chemistry, and the possibilities and methods that exist to do so successfully.

You will:

  • Gain a deeper insight into different communications practices
  • Acquire methods for targeting different audiences, from students to teachers to policymakers
  • Develop your chemistry pitch and practice sharing it
  • Learn from experts who have been successful in communicating on behalf of chemistry
