The first two are in the group I manage, and the third is for another wonderful group at SNL that I used to matrix into.

1. Engineering Program & Project Lead - Global Chemical and Biological Security (Experienced) (Job Opening ID: 677260)

We are seeking a high-performing chemist, engineer, safety or security professional, or regulator with experience identifying and managing major process hazards in the chemical industry to join our diverse team in the Global Chemical and Biological Security (GCBS) group as an Engineering Program & Project Lead. GCBS has projects in the following areas: chemical safety and security risk management; chemical inventory management practices; know-your-customer practices; know-your-supplier practices; chemical material risk prioritization; information control and management; and global, regional, and country-specific analysis and assessments. These programs require understanding of US National Security interests as well as those of various foreign countries and international organizations pertaining to the global goal of eradicating chemical weapons and preventing the use chemicals as weapons.

On any given day, you may be called to:

  • Develop and foster trust-based relationships with partner organizations internal and external to Sandia.
  • Collaborate with customers and partners to ensure expectations are met and/or managed.
  • Support the development and delivery of international training in risk management-related topics through remote engagement platforms or through face-to-face workshops; this could mean alternative work schedules to match international workday schedules.
  • Write and edit activity reports, analytical reports, and other program-related documentation as required.
  • Partner with other organizations at Sandia to identify new technical, organizational, or operational controls to manage chemical security risks.
  • Recognize active and latent issues that contribute to chemical security events or can reasonably be assumed will in the future.
  • Identify the underlying conditions, which if addressed, could prevent or lessen the severity of the issue's reoccurrence.

Willingness and ability to undertake international business travel to remote locations with limited amenities.

We are seeking a high-performing emergency preparedness, safety, or security professional to join our diverse team in the Global Chemical and Biological Security (GCBS) group as an Engineering Program & Project Lead. GCBS has projects in the following areas: chemical safety and security risk management; chemical inventory management practices; know-your-customer practices; know-your-supplier practice; chemical agent risk prioritization; information control and management; and global, regional, and country-specific analysis and assessments. 3. Systems Engineer - Performance Assurance (Mid-Career) (Job Opening ID: 677442)

On any given day, you may be called on to:

=B7 Participate in and/or facilitate the ESH occurrence/event/issue reporting and tracking processes

=B7 Participate in and facilitate event fact finding and causal analyses

=B7 Write fact-finding and causal analysis reports.

=B7 Support ES&H performance assurance, which includes, but is not limited to: assessments, measures/metrics, occurrence management, issues management, and trending analysis.

=B7 Employ a structured system approach that models the interactions between all components and ensures integration.

=B7 Document and track system-level performance requirements and develop acceptance criteria for the subsystems and system.

=B7 Document and track project risks and collaborate with partners to develop mitigation and contingency plans.

=B7 Provide weekly, monthly, quarterly reports to executive leadership and as requested status information on events/occurrences.

=B7 Serve as an authority for corporate level processes.

=B7 Manage relationships with DOE program oversight at headquarters and the Sandia Field Office, and with colleagues of all levels of staff and management at SNL and other DOE sites

=B7 Use customer service skills, employ a consultative approach when providing guidance, and be able to make recommendations based on requirements and circumstances.
