Measure the flash point of the waste. Use both open and closed cup procedures. If your facility is not equipped to conduct the tests, there should be a local commercial lab. There are national commercial labs as well.

Be careful and thorough on the testing. The EPA handbooks have some good instruction. The lab selected to conduct the test should have some sampling requirements or recommendations.

Are you storing your wastes properly? Segregated by composition [organics, acid, alkaline, etc] and then flash point for the organics? Good ventilation when appropriate. No ventilation when appropriate.
