There is an EH&S position open at the University of Arkansas.  Can you please share the following with the listserv?

 

The University of Arkansas Environmental Health & Safety Department is now accepting applications for an Occupational Safety Coordinator. Duties include but not limited tooversight of the biological safety cabinet testing and certification program, biomedical waste management, indoor air quality investigation, administering blood-borne pathogens training and reviewing research protocols submitted to the Institutional Biosafety Committee.


Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job function of this job, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

 

Minimum Qualifications: The formal education equivalent of a bachelor’s degree in physics, chemistry, biology, or a related field; plus two years of experience in occupational health and safety or a related field. 

Preferred Qualifications:  Experience in biological, microbiological or biomedical safety

 

Working hours are Monday Thru Friday 7:30am – 4:00pm.  Starting salary is $42,386.
