As of February 2023, the Terrorism Preparedness section of our web site is no longer available at ILPI. You can still view the site using the Internet Archive Wayback Machine, but it is no longer being updated.
This section of our site featured links and downloads designed to educate and prepare the reader for terrorist events and other non-natural disasters such as chemical and nuclear releases. It focused on resources for planners and emergency responders in preparedness, planning, recovery, medical and response issues.
These pages were an effort to serve as a clearinghouse of timely and key information in the wake of the 2001 anthrax attacks and 9/11, a time when such resources were less widely known and less available. Over the intervening years, the scale and scope of threats (including cyber) has expanded significantly, as have the authoritative resources to deal with such threats. The effort required to keep up with these rapid and vast changes became more than we could justify given our focus on more traditional safety topics such as Safety Data Sheets, so we elected to retire this section to better focus on our core competencies.
