The University of Nevada, Reno seeks a Laboratory Safety Manager for the Environmental Health and Safety Department (EH&S).
The Laboratory Safety Manager is responsible for leadership and management of the Laboratory Safety Program within the Environmental Health and Safety Department. The Laboratory Safety Program includes the
chemical hygiene, biosafety, select agent, and chemical management services programs. The incumbent provides budget planning and projection, strategic planning, staff supervision, and may serve on University committees to represent EH&S. The Laboratory Safety
Manager is part of the EH&S leadership team and meets with other EH&S managers and the EH&S Director for development and refinement of programs to improve and grow the expertise of the department. The position reports to the Director, EH&S.
