Demystify:

As you may know, a ACS Publications group is developing a series of on-demand courses to support those who are teaching chemical and laboratory safety to the next generation of chemists. One aspect of the educational content they are exploring is how chemists can best work with institutional safety services, such as regulatory compliance programs, risk consultations with EHS staff, waste disposal procedures and institutional emergency plans.

The goal of this e-mail is identify people who are willing to share your thoughts and experiences on these topics with ACS Pubs staff from time to time. If you are willing, they would like to reach out to you to engage in various activities, such as 15-20 minute 1-on-1 interviews; 30-60 minute focus group discussions; responding to surveys; and other processes which collect information that will inform the content and presentation of the on-line courses.

It will be your choice whether to respond to any specific invitation. Your participation will be kept confidential and will remain internal to ACS. Your decision to participate or not will not impact your standing with ACS or any other professional membership organization. You may also extend this invitation to others you think have the appropriate expertise and interest in this topic.

If you are willing to join the ACS pool of experts, please complete the form at
https://forms.gle/zXcQX8vFuJFq4XZ79

This form asks for your contact information and includes a few screening questions that will help us determine for which projects it would be most beneficial to contact you. If you have any questions about this opportunity, please contact Jessica Martin at j_martin@acs.org.

Thanks for any help with this project!
