Demystify: 
For what it’s worth, I agree that with the authors that the risk communication principles they describe apply to chemical safety as well as public health pandemics. I have seen first hand that outreach and stakeholder education before a hazmat event can go a long way to improving a community’s response to an event. By the time misinformation is circulating, it is too late to start educatation efforts.
