Hope this response from our Health and Safety unit helps:
McMaster University is considered a medium sized university in Canada. We use the HECHMET
system which involves a central receiving area to barcode and enter into the inventory
all chemicals coming on campus and removal of the barcodes for delisting when consumed. Annually, a physical audit (scanning all barcodes of chemicals in each lab and reconciling with the database) is done during the summer months of as many labs as possible.

Good morning,
I'm trying to gather data to see how often universities are doing chemical inventory.
If you could please reply and state if you are a small, medium or large university and if/when you do chemical inventory and the frequency.
This information is greatly appreciated.
Best,
Shannon
