Demystify:

For a research lab:

PPE: Lab coat, safety glasses plus gloves when handling chemicals

Proper clothing: long pants, proper shoes (closed toe and heel) (students who wear shorts or a skirt to campus must have a pair of sweats available)

No food or drink

So far, I've received nine responses.

Let's simplify the question in the hope that more will be willing to take the time to reply.

What are your top three most important lab safety rules?

Thanks  ... Jim

What do you believe are the most important lab safety rules?  The ones that you feel are so important that if you had a colleague who didn’t want to follow those rules, you don’t want that colleague in the same room with you.

When they violate these rules, they are putting themselves at risk.  They are putting you at risk.  And, they are putting the reputation and perhaps the future of your organization at risk.

Please send me your “Top 10” directly to jim**At_Symbol_Here**labsafety.org.  I will compile the results and share them with the listserv.

Thanks … Jim
