Dear Dr. Monica

Though I am also new to the group and happy to see your question regarding the guidelines required to use the PPE at various occasion.

I want to add that all the instructions come with the MSDS of that particular chemical and also the SOP ( STANDARD OPERATING Procedure) of that particular lab take care.

Still there are guidelines published by various agencies and chemical manufacturing company. You can have a look for it.

Hello, everyone.

I'm relatively new to the division; this is my first post. We're discussing students with Work-Study Program (https://studentaid.gov/understand-aid/types/work-study) assignments in the chemistry storage room here. These students help sort and hand out equipment and reagents for the various labs that are standard at the undergraduate level. They also go to the teaching labs to refill paper towels, distilled water, and soap, sometimes while a lab is taking place. Question: do these students have to wear a lab coat/goggles while working in the storage room? If anyone has official guidelines, they would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!
