In a previous setting, we used VHP to sterilize vivarium (laboratory animal spaces) with great success. I’m going from memory here (new computer and I could not find previous resources used to justify the operation), but the process did require high quality process controls, followed by direct quantitative measurement that included the standard of deviation of measurement accuracy/precision. Let me know if you need to know more. I hope I can find the information I used, but it was effective.

One of the departments I am responsible for here is buying a VHP 100i sterilizer, that uses a mist of hydrogen peroxide.
Does anyone know if this is safe? Ever since writing about Piranha solution, I have been sensitive to the explosive potential of hydrogen peroxide.
