VHP is commonly used for decontamination
of biosafety cabinets etc. Talk to your friends in Biosafety.

Hi Hugo
VHP is used in many situations where disinfection of all surfaces in a space is critical. I'm most familiar with use in animal facilties.
Used in strict accordance with manufacturer's instructions and good monitoring, VHP is a safe and effective solution. Paying attention to potential peroxide interaction with some surfaces is important.

Hi All,
One of the departments I am responsible for here is buying a VHP 100i sterilizer, that uses a mist of hydrogen peroxide.
Does anyone know if this is safe? Ever since writing about Piranha solution, I have been sensitive to the explosive potential of hydrogen peroxide.
Best,
Hugo
