Hello Sylvia-
Touch N Tuff nitrile gloves are made by Ansell; this is a manufacturer who cares enough to test their gloves in order to have permeation data, so this could be helpful to you/your chemist.
I tried searching their site for "propylene glycol' but didn't get a hit. I
n the center of the page towards the right, you can contact them. Or, you may want to contact the vendor/distributor who supplies these and ask if they have data or other guidance.
Your occupational health medical practitioner would also advise regarding gloves and whether an N95 was required based on what work the chemist was performing (generating aerosols on the bench vs working in a fume hood. in small containers).
Good luck-
Hello
I have a chemist that has developed a sensitivity to propylene glycol. Has anyone runs across this ? Is there any recommendation for gloves or N95 respirators? We currently use Touch N Tuff nitrile gloves.
