We have used acetonitrile routinely with our UPLCs for years. Our waste bottle is in a stable secondary container in the floor. We have not had issues with fumes.

Hello!
We are hoping to do some work with the LC this summer using acetonitrile but are concerned about ventilation of the fumes. Our waste currently runs to a bottle that has a closed funnel. Do labs typically have their LC waste container in a fume hood for ventilation?
Our LC is currently in a fairly small room that has one large vent in the ceiling. Any thoughts or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
