Good morning everyone. Just wanted to send this reminder. More seats are now open so if you haven't registered now would be a perfect time. Hope to see you all soon..............................
Good day everyone,
I hope you are all doing well as well as had a great spring semester! I’d like to take this
opportunity to formally thank those of you who registered and/or participated in the virtual discussion
“Industry Safety Expectations and Engagement for 2YC Chemistry Graduates and Technicians”
that was held on Thursday, February 19th with our much-valued members of the ACS Division
of Chemical Health and Safety (CHAS). It was an excellent discussion that took place, and we look forward to continuing with this valuable opportunity to share with and gain knowledge from our peers regarding lab safety in the 2YC.
A special thanks goes out to Harry Elston from midwest Chemical Safety as our excellent
resident expert. We were also extremely thankful to be able to have this
done in collaboration with ACS C.A.S.E. (Corporation Associates Safety Engagement).
Lastly, a huge thank you goes out to Amanda Chung, Membership Chair of CHAS, for
once again compiling all the questions, answers, and shared resources, which can now be accessed at the 2YC Lab Safety Community of Practice web page (2YC
Community – ACS Chemical Health and Safety Division). The page also has a recording of the session for those who may have missed it and will
also contain additional resources as well as all video recordings of future Lab Safety In the 2YC CHAS Chats. Many thanks to Melinda Box for the continued updates of our 2YC web page. On that note, we would like to announce the next 2YC Lab Safety CHAS
Chat...............
