Position Title:                 Workers Compensation and Disability
Claims Coordinator


Definition of the Position

The primary responsibility of this position is administering the Workers
Compensation and Disability Management programs.  The incumbent is the
primary point of contact with injured workers, coordinates their
treatment and any resulting workplace modifications, consults with
management concerning claim status and other claim factors that affect
position.  As liaison between injured workers and the University's Third
Party Adjuster, the incumbent negotiates settlements, directs claim
outcomes and authorizes benefit distribution. 

 

Position Title: Manager, Environmental Health, Occupational Safety and
Risk Management 

Definition of the Position

(Briefly describe the purpose of the position)

 

Under the general direction of the Associate Vice President of
Administration and Finance, the Manager of Environmental Health,
Occupational Safety and Risk Management will effectively administer a
comprehensive Environmental Health, Occupational Safety, and Risk
Management Programs for the campus. The Manager also takes an active
role in the planning and execution of the Campus Emergency Operations
Plan.  The Manager interprets and analyzes pertinent provisions of
Federal, State, local, California State University laws, codes and
regulation; advises, communicates with and educates the campus community
regarding interpretations; and develops compliance strategies that
balance regulatory mandates, available technology and operating budgets.
The Manager maintains a current awareness of all Safety and Health
information affecting University employees.
