Subject: Elemental Gadolinium

Hey everybody,

Does anybody have experience with gadolinium foil?

We have a researcher who wants to use this material. Does anybody know if it's truly as hazardous as described in the SDS?

SDS states "moisture and air sensitive, handle under dry protective gas, spontaneously flammable in air" etc. And then there's this...

Foil vs rod? Elemental vs alloy?

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
