Reminder: Tuesday, April 10th Public Meeting on Draft Strategy to Reduce Animal Testing

Registration has been extended for the April 10, 9 a.m.-1 p.m., public meeting in Washington, D.C. to obtain input on the Agency's draft strategic plan to reduce the use of vertebrate animals in chemical testing. Information obtained during this meeting will be considered in the Agency‰??s development of the final plan.

Section 4(h)(2)(A) of the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) requires EPA to publish a strategic plan to promote the development and implementation of alternative test methods and strategies to reduce, refine or replace vertebrate animal testing by June 2018. The draft plan was released March 7 and is available for comment until April 26, 2018 in docket EPA-HQ-OPPT-2017-0559.
