A little mercury sea with waves created by agitation was proposed for a film special effect shot which we nixed.  But projects involving mercury keep being proposed as more and more creative but ignorant young people come into the art and entertainment businesses.  It will not end until we require people getting degrees to actually be educated.

And yesterday I reviewed the creative mind at work as special effects people figured out that if e-cigs make "smoke" when sucked on, perhaps they could also be used to make smoke when blown through.  So the e-cig technology is now being sold in the form of battery-operated, handheld foggers to fill a shot with smoke.  And as expected, all of the advertising says they are "safe" on the assumption that the e-cigs are also safe -- a shaky peg to hang your hat on.
