Peter, thanks for posting. This sounds like exactly the kind of entry that should be submitted for the Pistoia Alliance (PA) Chemical Safety Library (CSL). CAS is currently working In partnership with PA to redo the data submission and database distribution system and workflow  - so I copy the folks currently working on this for consideration during relaunch. 


Kathy/Gabrielle/Brian- take a look at the paper Peter has cited. Might make an excellent example when working on the new system.
