CHAS folks,

The 50th ACS CERM Regional meeting will be held in Midland, MI, on June 4-8, 2019.  I am organizing a symposium with the title, Safety in the Undergraduate Curriculum.  The symposium description is:

"The ACS Committee on Professional Training has a robust set of expectations outlined in the 2015 Guidelines for Bachelor's Degree Programs.  The strategies to upgrade the inclusion of safety instruction in the undergraduate curriculum are evolving as new resources and ideas are emerging.  This symposium will explore various options to meet the CPT expectations."

Abstracts are due on March 4.   Please consider submitting an abstract if you are attending CERM, or would like a reason to do so!   Regional meetings are generally a bit less expensive than national ACS meetings, so the activation energy is a bit lower to share your ideas about strategies to enhance good safety instruction in the undergraduate curriculum.
